Portable Service Units

Easily transported
Detects amount of particulate and water contamination
Integrated pump built in – samples can be taken regardless of whether they’re in the pressure line or from a reservoir/ tote
Displays a 3 digit ISO contamination evel as well as water content as percent saturation
Data can be obtained using a USB drive and stored to a PC device

Standard Filter Carts

Can be used for both fluid transfer and kidney loop filtration
14 GPM flow rate with dual elements
Can use 2 stage particulate filtration or water removal then particulate 115 VAC power allows plug in to wall outlet
Micron sizes available in 3, 5, 10, 20 or water removal element
Viscosity ratings up to 1000 SUS

Automatic Filter Carts

Same components as standard cart with integrated particle counter and water sensor
9 GPM flow rate
Can set target ISO level and cart will filter until getting 5 consecutive readings at that level, then automatically shut off
Can obtain data from cart via USB drive

Small Dehydrators

Designed for use to remove both free and dissolved water from hydraulic fluids
Automatic operation – set target fluid conditions and cart runs until conditions met then shuts off

What is Hydraulic Fluid Contamination?

Any substance that is foreign to a fluid system and degrades its optimum performance
Can exist as a gas, liquid, or solid
Accelerates component wear, resulting in seizure of parts, higher fluid temperatures, leakage, and loss of control
Decreases system’s service life and efficiency
Accelerates oxidation of the fluid and causes chemical breakdown of additives

What Are Some Causes of Contamination?

New systems often have contaminants left behind from manufacturing and assembly operations
Inefficient air breathers and worn cylinder rod seals during normal operation
Airborne contaminants entering during routine servicing and maintenance
Friction and heat internally generating contaminants
